National and international safety standards for infusion pumps have been developed by experts in infusion. The ambIT® family of pumps have been independently certified to meet all applicable nationally and internationally recognized safety standards for infusion pumps.
The ambIT® family of pumps allow the physician to set the appropriate infusion volume.
Ambulatory pumps should be able to function in many different environments. The ambIT® pumps effectively repel rain.
Volumetric accuracy is an important attribute of any electronic ambulatory infusion pump. The ambIT® family of pumps has a volumetric accuracy of ±6%, comparable to pumps of five to ten times the cost.
Having the same pump for multiple therapy specific applications with the same programming steps reduces the likelihood of programming errors. The ambIT® family of pumps is approved for use in pain management applications (IV, epidural, regional anesthesia, wound infiltration, etc.), as well as other infusions (chemotherapy, hydration, and other continuous rate therapies).
Improved Outcomes
Adjusting the drug delivery profile, such as flow rate or bolus volume allows the healthcare professional to tailor the therapy to the patient. The ambIT® pumps allow for titration. The healthcare professional can adjust basal flow rate, bolus delivery rate, bolus dose volume, bolus lockout and bag volume. These changes can be made anytime during treatment without having to replace the pump or catheter.
Patients respond to drugs differently. The ambIT® pumps allow the healthcare professional to change medications or drug concentrations at anytime during therapy without the cost of disposing of the entire pump.
The ease of use of our products allows a healthcare professional to focus on treating the patient instead of managing the equipment.
Cost Effectiveness
The ambIT® family of pumps allows the healthcare professional the flexibility to tailor their infusion therapy program(s) to meet their patients' needs. The ambIT® PCA and Continuous pumps can be reused. The cassette is disposed of after each therapy to insure volumetric accuracy and sterility. Reusing the ambIT® PCA and Continuous pumps significantly lowers the per use cost of the pump. The low-cost, high-quality ambIT® PreSet™ pump will function for a maximum of 2,000mL to ensure that a single pump can be used from pre-op to post-op for pain management. The ambIT® PreSet™ eliminates the need to set up a pump retrieval process.
The ambIT® pumps are designed to accept any size collapsible bag and can be used with male or female luer connections, or a bag spike connection. Sorenson Medical manufactures and sells 250 mL and 420 mL fluid bags. If additional fluid volume is needed, the bag can be replaced without purchasing an additional pump.
