Major capabilities for the department include in-house clean room injection molding, and clean room assembly.
Our pumps and cassettes are complex and require assembling many intricate components. Clearly, part of the success of any intricate, multi-part assembly is the consistency and accuracy of the component dimensions. The molding process is well defined and consistent. We utilize statistical process control to monitor and ensure the quality of the plastic part.
The pumps utilize a loaded, printed circuit board to power and control the actions of the pump. The pumps have to dispense a pre-selected medication, accurately and consistently. Thus, all the components, mechanical and electrical, must work in tandem with each other to produce the desired result.
The disposable cassette uses peristaltic action to move liquid at a precise rate. The cassette is intended to be used for one application. The cassette is assembled inside our Class 100,000 clean room at Sorenson Medical by a team of associates with the experience to make each one with high quality and performance.
The manufacturing area at Sorenson Medical has the flexibility to expand and meet ever increasing business needs.
